Novel phosphorus amide compound

NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula (A is β-cyanoethyl; X and Y are secondary amino). EXAMPLE: β-Cyanoethoxybis(N,N-diethylamino)phosphine. USE: A synthetic raw material for nucleoside phosphoramidite which is a monomer for synthesizing polynucleotides. PREPARATION: For example, a trihalogenophosphine, e.g. trichlorophosphine, etc., is reacted with β-cyanoethanol to give a β-cyanoethoxydihalogenophosphine, which is then reacted with a secondary amine in a suitable solvent, e.g. ether, etc., to afford the aimed compound expressed by the formula. Alternatively, the trihalogenophosphine can be reacted with the secondary amine to give a bisaminohalogenophosphine, which may be further reacted with the β- cyanoethanol to provide the aimed compound expressed by the formula.
